“You don’t know what you have until it’s gone.”
Okay I am being dramatic, but with this social distancing it’s often easy to be frustrated and confused, and honestly bored too. Some days I will tell you that maybe this isn’t so bad. Being bored is a good problem to have because it leads us to be creative and do things that aren’t in our routine.
If you’re anything like me, you’re all about that routine, so this has been a weird time for you. You could complain. You could lay in bed all day. Or you could go back and do things that you never thought you would. This may be a puzzle or pulling out the good ole Wii.
This time has brought me back to childhood memories. After re-discovering the Wii, I have yet to stop and wondered why I stopped in the first place.
If you do decide to play the Wii, here are my top picks:
You can do this one alone, with a friend or three. It doesn’t matter which version you choose, the songs will bring you back to your middle school days, and you’ll get a kick out of it. OH, and you’d be surprised how much of the moves you remember.

Wipeout
If you’ve ever watched the show, this game is just like it. Hilarious. You can play this one alone and you’ll be laughing no matter what. For this one you do need a nunchuk so keep that in mind.
Mario Kart
An all-time favorite, hands down. I bet you all have played this one before but maybe you never unlocked all the tracks or characters. I challenge you to get 1st place in every race.

Sing It
Do you have microphones? If so, go at it. Always wanted to do karaoke at Goodfellows, well now you can do it at home too. Some of your favorite Disney songs are on that list.
We’re all trying to be creative with our workouts, but let me tell you this one will make you sweat. Don’t want to sweat? There are tons of options, but certainly don’t forget you can even do bowling.
If you and your roommate are being quarantined, I say give it a try and you surely won’t be disappointed. Maybe it’s just you and your siblings, well I highly encourage you to have that dance battle and see who has the better moves. Perhaps it’s just you alone, go ahead do some Wii Sports it will make the time go by and you’ll have a grand time.
I know that these times bring a lot of emotions and surely we all want answers to our questions. But times like these also make us pause and enjoy little things that we had forgotten about. So maybe today or tomorrow or the next day, pull out your Wii and allow yourself to go back to your days when that’s all you would do.
